On 20 March 2026, the Government announced that Tividale in Rowley Regis has been selected to receive up to £20 million of investment through the Pride in Place Programme.

This long-term funding is a major opportunity to deliver positive change in Tividale. It puts power into the hands of the community and is designed to ensure that the people who live and work in Tividale help set priorities and shape the future of the town.

The programme will deliver against three core Government priorities:

  • Thriving Places
  • Stronger Neighbourhoods
  • Taking Back Control
How the programme is being delivered

A Tividale Neighbourhood Board has been established to oversee the delivery of the programme, and will work closely with Sandwell Council as the Accountable Body, to ensure that local voices are at the heart of every decision.

The role of the Tividale Neighbourhood Board

To access the funding, the Tividale Neighbourhood Board will produce a 10-year Regeneration Plan and 4-year Investment Plan for submission to the Government in February 2027. These plans will focus on the following themes as set out by the Government:

  • Regeneration, High Streets and Heritage
  • Housing
  • Works, Productivity and Skills
  • Cohesion
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Transport
  • Safety and Security
  • Education and Opportunity
  • Community Power

Over the next 12 months, the Board will:

  • engage with local people to find out what matters most to them
  • create a plan to improve the area, using the feedback from local people and local data
  • decide how the money should be spent to address the priorities of local people
