Funding Available to Help Gather Views on the Future of Friar Park 

Community groups, organisations, local businesses and trusted community spaces are being invited to help gather residents' views on the future of Friar Park. 

The Friar Park Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board is offering up to £250 per activity. The funding is designed to support conversations with people who live, work, study or spend time in Friar Park, helping to ensure that as many voices as possible are heard as plans for the area's future are developed. 

Friar Park has been awarded up to £20 million of government funding over the next 10 years, and the Board is currently gathering views to help identify local priorities for investment and improvement. Organisations working in, or with people from, Friar Park can apply before 11 September 2026. Activities must be completed and findings submitted by 18 September 2026. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis, so organisations are encouraged to apply as early as possible. 

The Board is particularly keen to hear from groups that can engage a wide range of residents, including young people, older people, families, people with disabilities, and people from ethnic minority backgrounds. 

Funding can be used to support activities such as discussion groups, workshops and other engagement sessions. It can help cover costs including room hire, materials and refreshments. 

If you would like to support this work but do not require funding, you are still encouraged to submit an application so your activity can be approved by the Board and you can access the engagement materials.
