The Rowley Regis Connected project will generate a multi phased set of multi-modal infrastructure improvements to link transport (rail, bus) and employment hubs in Blackheath, Cradley Heath and Oldbury.
The project will deliver new pedestrian and cycle routes including segregated cycle routes, resurface and widen footpaths, upgrade crossing facilities, introduce traffic calming, upgrade lighting, improve signage and road markings.
The project Full Business Case was approved by Government in March 2022. The project team have since undertaken a number of activities in the background to finalise the work packages to deliver this project.
The project is split into three phases: –
- Phase 1 – Moor Lane (Start Date: July 2024 / Completion Date: September 2024)
- Phase 2 – Oldbury Ringway (Start Date: August 2024 / Completion Date: November 2024)
- Phase 3 – Cradley Heath (Start Date: March 2025 / Completion Date: December 2025)
