Tividale Pride in Place

The Tividale Pride in Place programme is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Hayward as Chairperson of the Tividale Neighbourhood Board, alongside the confirmation of the Board membership.

Peter brings a long-standing connection to Tividale, having lived and worked in the area for over 50 years. His involvement in local groups has given him a strong understanding of the community’s strengths, challenges, and ambitions.

The newly appointed Board brings together a diverse group of local residents and partners, reflecting a broad range of skills, experience and perspectives. Together, they will play a key role in shaping the future of Tividale and ensuring that the Pride in Place programme delivers meaningful, community-led change.

With a passion for community-led improvement, Peter will work alongside Board members to ensure that residents’ voices remain at the heart of decision-making.

Speaking about his role as Chairperson, Peter said

“I’m honoured to take on this role and to help shape the future of Tividale. This community means a great deal to me, and I’m committed to making sure local people have a real say in the decisions that affect our neighbourhood. I’m looking forward to working with fellow Board members, residents and partners to deliver positive, lasting change.”

With the Board now in place, the next phase of work will begin. This will include:

  • Board induction and onboarding, ensuring all members are clear on their roles, responsibilities, and the opportunities presented by the Pride in Place programme.
  • Developing a clear forward plan, identifying the activities over the coming months.
  • Engaging with local communities to gather views, ideas, and priorities from residents.
  • Co-producing a long-term vision, culminating in the development of a 10-year regeneration plan that reflects the ambitions of the Tividale community.

Further updates and opportunities to get involved will be shared in the coming months.
