Britannia open day, Sunday 8 March 2026

Visit Britannia Park in Rowley Regis on Sunday 8 March, between 11am and 3pm, for free family fun, activities and a celebration of the park’s exciting upgrades.

Communities from across Rowley Regis and the wider Sandwell area are invited to attend a special Open Day at Britannia Park on Sunday 8 March 2026.

The event marks the completion of significant improvements to the park, funded by the UK Government’s Towns Fund, with additional co-funding from Sandwell Council, the Lawn Tennis Association, the England and Wales Cricket Board, and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The Open Day provides residents with the opportunity to explore the park’s transformation and experience its enhanced facilities. Whether attending for the first time or revisiting a valued community space, there will be a wide range of activities and attractions available for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy a programme of free activities and entertainment throughout the day, including a small children’s fair, a climbing wall, tennis coaching sessions led by We Do Tennis and the Sandwell Youth Bus. A craft showcase, a table top market and light refreshments will be available at the nearby Sons of Rest Community Centre. Council service teams will also be present to provide information, advice and details about local services and initiatives.

The investment has delivered a variety of high-quality facilities, including a toddler play area, junior play area, tennis courts, a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), skatepark, Beech Tree maze and sports pitches, supporting recreation, wellbeing and community engagement.

A guided walk of the park will take place at 2pm, offering attendees the opportunity to learn more about the improvements and features of the site. Participants should meet at the park’s main gate.

No booking is required.
