Families visiting Britannia Park are being advised that the play area will temporarily close from 10 November for approximately six weeks while construction takes place on an exciting new addition.

The closure will allow work to begin on an exciting new toddler play area, which will be built around the existing playground. The development aims to provide a more inclusive and engaging space for the park’s youngest visitors.

The project forms part of the £3.2 million Rowley Regis Parks Improvement Project, funded by the government, which seeks to enhance several local parks and green spaces across the area.

Council representatives say the new design will offer a wider variety of play opportunities while maintaining the character of Britannia Park that families know and love.

While construction takes place, all other areas of the park will remain open to the public. Visitors are being thanked for their patience and understanding during the improvement works.
