We’re inviting Smethwick community leaders, community group members and business representatives to community workshops to help shape how £20m is invested in Smethwick over the next 10-years.
Smethwick is set to benefit from up to £20 million investment over the next 10-years through the Government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods Programme and we want to make sure the voices of local people, organisations and businesses are at the heart of it.
To help shape how this funding is used, we’re inviting community leaders, group members and local business representatives to join one of eight community workshops happening across Smethwick between Monday 28 July and Friday 22 August.
At each workshop, you’ll have the chance to:
- Meet members of the Smethwick Partnership Board
- Discuss the key issues facing your community or sector
- Share ideas and explore potential projects
- Help shape how this investment can have the greatest impact
Your knowledge of the community – its challenges, strengths and opportunities – is essential in helping us get this right. Whether you’re already involved in local projects or simply have ideas about what would make a difference where you live or work, this is your opportunity to influence real investment in Smethwick.
Tickets are free, but places are limited and available on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you to book early.
