  • Britannia Parks Sons of Rest building now reopened

On 20 September, The Deputy Mayor officially reopened the Britannia Parks Sons of Rest Building. 

The refurbished Sons of Rest, located next to Britannia Park is just one of the many improvements that has been undertaken as part of the £2.5million Rowley Regis Greenspace Improvements project. 
This spring, building work started on the refurbishment and complete in September.  The hub is now set to become a key asset for the local community to host different activities. 

The Rowley Regis Greenspace Improvements Project, funded by the Government Town Fund programme with co-funding from Sandwell Council has supported other works including entrance improvements, making access safer for pedestrians and drivers, provided an enlarged car park, new changing rooms and new play area.

And its not over yet! 
More improvement are yet to come with public consultation underway on a new concrete skatepark and work set to commence on a new toddler play area in Britannia Park. 
The improvements will help promote and enable greater use for a variety of purposes and improve the health and wellbeing of residents across Rowley Regis.
